Jette Joop was born in Braunschweig, attended grammar school in Hamburg and completed her school days in Oxford / England with the international Abitur. She completed her subsequent design studies at the Art Center College of Design in California / USA with a Bachelor of Science degree and then worked for Barry Kieselstein-Cord and Polo Ralph Lauren in New York, among others.

In September 1997 she founded her own company, today's JETTE GmbH, based in Hamburg and Berlin.

Jette Joop has been a children's ambassador for the German Red Cross since September 2003 and is involved in several DRK projects.

​

In 2006 she received the Duftstars Award for her first fragrance "JETTE". In 2008 she was awarded the “Golden Pea” by the Märchenland eV association for her commitment as a children's ambassador for the DRK. In 2009 Jette Joop received the “Leading Ladies Award” in the category “Companies with international women power”.

Jette Joop lives and works in Hamburg and Berlin and is the mother of a daughter and a son.
